9800np's memory frequency should be 290mhz, there are different kinds of memory best is Samsung 2.86ns, however any Samsung is better than Infineon because of the ability to be flashed to 9800pro's bios.

-Intel PIV 2.6C @ 3.575G -Asus P4P800 -OCZ Copper 2x256 4000EL memory @ 275mhz 3-4-4-8 -Sapphire 9800np @ 432/760 -SB audigy -120G Maxtor Diamond Plus9 S-ATA150 hdd -450 Enermax PSU

i know what the clock speed for the core and memory should be at. what i wanted to know was, is the the name brand of memory and speed, like the samsung 2.86ns, the same on all 9800nps. if not, how could i tell what type of memory the card comes with. id like to get a 9800np and then overclock it to pro speeds later on. sorry i wasnt more clear and thanks for the help.

edit-is core/clock speed the only difference between the 9800pro and np? i know they both have 8 pipelines but i dont know if there is some other difference between the two cards.
