Memory speed

I own a Powercolor 9600 PRO, 128 mb 400/680mhz. But in tests like Mark3d and Aquamark it says that my memory speed is 297mhz, shouldnt it be higher?

Are you sure it isn;t a 9600 PRO LT or "Lite"?

I hear those have reduced mem frequency.

The package clearly states "400/680 mhz".

Just to clarify in case you don't know, the memory is DDR (double data rate) so your 297 Mhz is really the equivalent of 600 Mhz... or that's how they advertise it anyway.

Still, if it's advertised at 640 Mhz then you should be running about 320 Mhz.

It's weird that they would advertise it at 640 though, because the 9600 PRO spec is 300 Mhz DDR (600 Mhz effective).

Yeah, I should rather have something like 337mhz (x2=680). But how can I check the speed? More carefully?

Case closed. The shop admitted wrong labeling due to wrong delivery....
