Memory to motherboard compatibility

Hi I am working on my first computer build and I went with a asus maximus vi gene for the motherboard and Kingston hyperx fury for my RAM, I was just wondering if they are compatible as when I try to build the computer it comes up with error 55 which is something to do with the ram. Thanks

Make sure you ave the latest BIOS, the Fury run off PnP, and be sure sticks securely installed in slots 1-3 or 2-4 from CPU
