Memory upgrade 16gb

I have a laptop. Lenovo L420. and a lot of sites are saying i can upgrade to 16gb memory. is this possible?

Ok thanks for the answer. I have a levono L420 i5, 8 gb, 250 ssd. Running Windows 10 home. I have looked at many sites about upgrading memory to 16gb, but say upgrade to a i7 2670qm or a 2860qm.is possible. But is it possible to upgrade to a 3610qe. Which will take upto 32 gb. On a hm65 chip set motherboards

Yes. It is possible. I have tested today. I have installed 2 dimms of 8GB each and got 16GB total. 2x Kingston KVR16S11/8.
