So I made the mistake of buying a kit of ram in which I had no clue would stay at inflated prices for what its worth after the craze went down, so now im looking at trying to sell the kit i have and get a different kit to get more ram. The kit I have now is a corsair vengence lpx ddr4 3200 speed 2x4 kit (when i got it it was 118, now its over 200) Im looking to get my system up to at least 16 gigs, so i was curious, would it be a fairly good idea to pull the kit I have now, try to sell it for like 50 bucks, buy probably a ballistix kit of 4x4 2666 memory to get me my 16 gigs? my 3200 kit is running at 2666 anyways so no different in speed. My processor is a ryzen 5 2400g and i have a gtx 1060, so not using the apu part. What speed should i look at to go along with 16 gigs. (sorry this is a confusing mess)

Do not get a 4 stick kit as you'll almost be guaranteed not to reach anything above 2933. Ram price have actually fallen recently and 3200cl16 16gb kits can be found under $115 in the USA right now easily
What would you recommend to look at then? Like i said my kit i have now is over 200 and i dont feel 8 gigs of 3200 is worth 200 when i could but a whole new kit for less than that with more capacity. I was thinking either that or ill just get 2 sticks of 2x8. I was told that if you want 4 ram slots filled you need to buy a 4x4 kit otherwise they may be not exactly timed together or something may be messed up.
