Can I use extra memory I bought for my old Dell Dimension, bought 4ys ago,
and put it in my nice new Dell Dimension 2400?

Cheers

No way. RAM has changed drastically over the last 4 years. Heck, it's
changed drastically over the last 6 months.

The odds of 4-year-old memory working in a new Dell Dimension are just about
nil. 4-year-old computers (Pentium III ?) use either SDRAM or Rambus RDRAM.
Newer ones use DDR with a speed rating that matches the motherboard and CPU
specs.
