Question Mesh wifi advice please

Hi there

Just a quick question please.

I'm trying to get WiFi into my detached garage (set about 20 foot away from my house)

I upgraded to mesh wifi tenda MW6 with 3 nodes, but if I shut the garage door for example the node in the garage, can't get signal it just gets signal with the garage door open

Is there any others that aren't particularly expensive that would likely be better for what I'm needing? dont mind buying used or refurbished just didn't want to spend a fortune. As the WiFi in the house is absolutely fine, it's literally the detached garage I struggle with abit.

If you have metal siding, and a metal door, then you have generally blocked WIFI. If you can find one, a Ubiquiti Nanostation Loco M2, mounted on the outside of the garage can be the wireless bridge, and you bring the network inside on a wire. Add an access point (or old router configured as an access point) in the garage for devices to connect.

If you have TP-Link OneMesh router then it will become a mesh. If not, then it will be a standalone AP.
