I've come across an annoying yet weird issue.
Im currently running windows 11 and with that comes alot of issues for a particular game im trying to play which requires secure boot active problem is whenever i enable it windows doesnt boot, im met with a black screen upon boot and it just stays there. im able to reaccess the bios and change it back to disabled which allows my pc to boot normally. im running on UEFI and GPT and have 0 clues on the possible solutions.

Did you enable fTPM in your BIOS? Also, keep in mind that Win 11 is pre-release/beta and all sorts of wonkiness is to be expected. For normal use, Win 10 would be the better option for the vast majority of users, at this time.

Ive had this issue since using windows 10, ive never been able to boot my PC whenever i enable Secure boot. and yes i do have FTPM enabled.

The only time i enabled fTPM was to have access to download windows 11 which was the only bios setting i changed at the time. I still have it on as it is required for the application im trying to run.
Understood. Have you updated your BIOS yet?

Aside from your motherboard, what are the specs for the rest of your rig (make/model of all installed components)?

Also, are you overclocking anything (GPU, CPU, memory)?

I haven’t gotten around to update it yet, I’ll update you on it soon.

my specs are

GIGABYTE RTX 2070 Super
AMD Ryzen 3700x
Corsair venegance RGB PRO 4x8

None are being overclocked/underclocked in anyway possible, for the sake of testing I’ve even disabled XMP for my ram. (Let me know if you need a more in depth of my specs)

I suspect your MSI will be very similar. After enabling Secure Boot, did you reset your factory keys?

Below is what I posted to a couple similar threads earlier today.

I enabled Secure Boot on my Win 11 (B550) and two Win 10 rigs (both with X570) today. Nothing unusual at all afterward.

Steps to enable (all AMD-based Gigabyte mobos) Secure Boot. Make sure fTPM is enabled. Make sure CSM is disabled. In Secure Boot, select custom under Secure Boot Mode, Select Restore Factory Keys, Say YES to reset without saving.

When BIOS restarts, access BIOS and change Secure Boot Mode back to Standard and then Yes to restart without save.

Let Windows boot fully.

Use msinfo to verify that Secure Boot State is on.

Sorry im a bit slow in the head but when you say "Say YES to reset without saving." what am I not saving? The bios once I quit it or the keys?

You will make a selection to reset your keys, then say yes to resetting without saving. The keys will reset and your previous BIOS settings retained, otherwise.
I’m not given an option to reset my keys, only to set them to default (which I’m assuming does the same thing) and get given a choice to enroll factory keys with a YES or NO box.
