Hi,
I have just installed Metro Exodus Gold edition game on my HP Omen laptop with RTX 3060 GPU and Ryzen 7 CPU.
What I have noticed is that although the FPS cap is set at 72 fps from Nvidia control panel, the GPU is only 80% used by the game even though the in-game FPS is not reaching 72 FPS cap. It averages around 63-65 FPS and despite that, the GPU is not being used more than 80%.
It is happening only in Metro Exodus, not in any other games.
Shouldn't the GPU be utilized 100% until the FPS cap is reached? Why is the GPU only delivering 80% potential? VRAM consumption is not that high, around 5 GB.
Please advise me what should I do?
Note: RTX and DLSS are turned on and graphics is set to "Extreme". Even if I turn RTX or DLSS off, then also GPU usage is stuck at 80% max.
All my graphic drivers are updated to their latest versions.
