Mic is picking up output sound

whenever im in skype or discord and im talking to people they can hear output sounds crystal clear.
for example if i was in a skype call and listening to music they could hear it as if its playing through thier own speakers. I have a razer black shark and im on windows 10

I would check to make sure your own speakers are not playing because if they are then thats your problem. Otherwise check in the skype settings and disable 'play windows audio' or the similarly named option if it is turned on

the sound is playing through my headphones i should have said that in the question Also its not an issue with skype because it happens with other applications
