Hi

I have
turtle beach 50P gaming headset.
A GT1050ti graphics card
Asus B150m-c motherboard

I have just changed over my old avi cable from the mother board to the monitor to a display port cable from the graphics card...very nice.

I had trouble getting a decent sound first of all but i have it perfect now after a lot of googling and adjustments!

I have now exhausted any ideas i can find now to get the mic working though!

Any ideas please?
i will include some thumbnails of some settings, if you want more just ask.

Where is your headset plugged in? It has a special type of jack that does not normally work in a common stereo headphone jack on a computer front panel. That usually requires an adapter to split it into two jacks you plug in on common sockets - one for earphones, one for mic. Are you STILL doing that, or did you change it? You said you had to make some adjustments to get the earphones to work.

Windows can only use one device as its Default Sound Playback Device, no matter how many such hardware devices your system has. So you have to ensure that it is set to use the playback device you have plugged your headphones into. That is done by going to Sounds and looking for where the Default Sound Playback Device is set using a little...

So you have to ensure that it is set to use the playback device you have plugged your headphones into. That is done by going to Sounds and looking for where the Default Sound Playback Device is set using a little drop-down chooser window. The SAME holds true for the Default Sound Recording Device, in the same place. Check that it, too, is set to use the device (jack) that you have your mic plugged into.

Ok, sorry for wasting your time, i have been going around in circles with settings and different ports on the pc, monitor and base unit. Driving myself nuts.
I have now tried my old hd webcam in the front usb port on the base unit to try the microphone out on it, it works perfect as do the headphones when i plug them in to the front jack port on the front of the base at the same time.
This is good enough for me at the moment for the amount i use the mic.
I now have my doubts about the mic working on the headset, so i will take them to work next week for someone else to try in there pc.
Thank you for your time and input.
I do have another problem but thats for another thread!
cheers
