Question Mic wont pickup voice

So i just built a computer, everything is working fine except for the mic. I have tried several 3.5mm headsets and mics not one have picked up my voice. instead there is an obnoxious "crackling" static for my friends. which i can not hear unless i have playback enabled. I have tried updating, rollback and uninstalling/reinstalling drivers none of that working. i have messed around with windows 10 setting again that didn't work. I am going to order a USB mic and see if that works but i would prefer to continue to use the peripherals i already have. i would appreciate any help i can get. yes i have tried the windows troubleshooter no luck there.

What "Audio inputs" device is listed in Device Manager?
What do you see listed under "Device Manager > Sound > Recording"?

audio input & outputs: speaker (Bluetooth speaker) and Microphone high definition audio device (goes away after i unplug mic)

sound, video & game controllers: speaker hands free, speaker stereo, High definition audio device, and NVIDIA high definition audio

nothing listed as a recording device in either of those

If you right-click in the "Device Manager > Sound > Recording" window, is "Show Disabled Devices" enabled?

i have already made sure everything under sound and recording is enabled.
