hey all,

just built a new computer and was thinking of using some of the old bits and making a HTPC.

I can't seem to find a Micro ATX Socket 'A' motherboard, do any of you guys have contacts for this vintage technology? Or is this processor just to old now (XP 2800)? and should i upgrade (new processor, MB, & RAM)?

My HDTV is 720p (not 1080p) so the XP 2800 can push enough pixels to display on this.

thx's

I just upgraded from a xp 2600 (socket A) 2 weeks ago. I was going to try to upgrade my system but socket A as you said ancient It was hard to find parts in stores, Ebay is a good place to look however. But better off buying a system, even if a cheap system now will knock the pants off anything you can do with a socket A mobo and processor.
