Question Microphone is super low even with full gain on and bass boost

Anyone know a way to get my mic higher volume (using a skullcandy headset) or will i just have to buy a new one.

More information needed about the microphone and other involved audio devices and computers.

For example, if you are using a desktop computer, Windows 10 OS, and a sound card there are a number of configurable options that may be restraining the volume.

Those options are easily accessed by right clicking the small speaker icon usually located in the lower right screen corner. First there is a 5 item menu presented and any one of the choices leads to multiple windows, tabs, and property controls. Explore first and then try changing only one thing at a time as seems applicable.

That said have you tried another known working mic/headset on your computer? Have you tried your mic/headset on another working computer? Determine if the problem stays with the computer or follows the mic/headset.

Best case - you just need to set the current audio configuration. And even failing that you should go back and reinstall the applicable audio drivers via the manufacturer's website.

Worst case - the mic/headset does not work on any other computer or other audio environment. In which case the mic/headset probably failed in some manner and will need to be replaced. Any warranty or return (RMA) options?
