Question microphone problems

I accidentally spilled water a little while ago on the internal mic on my laptop (acer vx15) and when I used it with no sound playing it works fine. However when sound is playing the mic sounds all messed up and bad. This even happens when i have headphones plugged in and when i used the builtin mic on my headphones. I have tried reinstalling drivers and that didn't work so I'm guessing it's an hardware issue from water damage.

Yea probabbly it might have caused a some kind of a short cut on the mobo when headphones plugged in, pc service centre should be able to solve the problem.
