Question MicroSD card not reading on Nintendo Switch ?

I recently bought a microSD card for my Nintendo switch, and it doesn't work, sort of. I accidentally figured out that it will only work if I push the SD card in fully. Its hard to explain. So when you put an SD card in normally it will move back a bit when you push it in, and this is enough for my switch to not read it. It will only work if I fully push it in and hold it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Ps. This is an original Nintendo Switch I got in 2016, and I have never used the microSD card slot ever

what the brand of this microsd card?
check to make sure there isn't anything in the card slot on the switch?
