Microsoft Apologizes For Photoshop Blunder

it's about three PEOPLE in a photo for a commercial...Why does it even matter what race were they? Gee, try to see beyond the surface and the skin...I didn't even get the whole thing until I read the rest of the article...to me it was just three humans around a table...
 
Microsoft can do no evil! Shame on everyone for pointing out Microsoft's follies! What did they do to you?

In marketing there is a fine line in these kinds of decisions but in this case I think that they should have opted for a different photo altogether rather than photoshop that one. Or they could have left it alone, would anyone have cared or noticed then?

There are only three races of people; Asian chick, white chick and hot African guy that Asian chick and white chick like to sleep with.

Asian guy are computers and white guy are idiots so they don't count as human.

Turn on the TV and you’ll know I am right.
 
I honestly hate how they do this anyways. Putting mixed races in advertisements just to try to appeal to all races is a form of racism itself. If you think that you must have a member of the race in the ad to appeal to that race then your clearly calling that entire race racist. Which oddly enough is racism itself and completely false.

Can anyone here honestly say they would refuse to use a service or buy a product because its advertisements didn't contain a member of your race?
 
This is a very common practice and is actually good business sense. No matter who you are, what you see has more impact on you than any of your other senses. When asked, "if you could only keep one of your senses, which one would you choose?" most people would keep their sight. Marketing people know this.

I am African-american and I must say that the only crime done here is poor QA.

Well, I don't care if they changed a black guy to a white guy or vice versa, but do a good job at least! The sub is not even looking natural with the wrong light!
 
Wow.... Microsoft needs someone whose MUCH better at photoshop who ever they hired sucks. made a BIG mistake. I thought I sucked at photoshop , but I've never made a mistake like that.
 
Amazing that this is news - it's in all the papers. Would this be even mentioned if the original was a white man and then a black man's head was photoshopped on it?
 
Not a huge surprise, we look around America and England and think we are pretty open minded and integrated with little prejudice anymore. Take Obama as the President for example.

But anyone who has been to central or eastern Europe, they are are a nasty lot and are as racist as they come. If you doubt me try going to a football match and watch the black players come in for some pretty horrific abuse with monkey chants and bananas thrown on the pitch. They keep it to themselves as they are insulated but if there is an international game the cameras catch it all.

MS are just being shrewd marketers, if they leave the black guy in the picture they would lose sales. It would have been a better idea to get 2 pictures shot instead of photoshopping though...
 
But, is he an "African American" even if he is in Poland. Or, is he just a black male that maybe has never even been to Africa?
Does Canada have "African Canadians"?
 
Wow this is rediculous. Ia gree that is a good buisness strategy gone idotically wrong. And I'm not ashamed to say I would have done it too. Except I would have fixed the hand(I actually would have chosena new picture but whatever).

This just shows that white males are screwed no matter what we do. We're always looked down upon.
 
Yes, they photoshopped the fat women out of the beer advertisements!!! I'm angry!!!
 
There is no problem with the Polish picture. Look at the demographic there, maybe take the Asian guy out too. Wait that is capitalism, he just selling cheaper Chinese's products to the West as usual. Yes this move is debatable
 
Holy Sh!t.... isn't it like 2009 nowadays? How long is racism(not reffering to the ad, but in general) going to last in this world? People are people, no matter what their skin colour is. OMFG!!! WAKE UP WORLD!!!! WAKE UP!!!

My experience with the black people shows that they are more racists than white ones. And they always screaming, whining all around about their rights despite they got much more now days than white people. They do not want to work, they want everything for free, they want social protection and white people should provide this because couple ventures before they were slaved by white people.
