Oh good, the memorable classic, Doritos Crash Course. The seminal potato chip simulator of 20-whatever-year. So glad this can be played on the modern generation of consoles again.

Doritos are corn chips you filthy casual!

Or they could just concentrate on the PC and never have to worry about backward compatibility again.

@ innocent bystander: You're probably too young to remember all the great games that came out for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 that no longer play on modern PCs...like Wing Commander.

Seriously. There are even some XP games that are a pain to get running on just two versions of Windows later. Backwards compatibility is always going to be a big problem on any platform. Nintendo are being the good guys with their Virtual Console and the Wii U being compatible all the way back to Gamecube games. But I feel like their generosity in that regard is going to have to end soon.

Why the fxxk a 3 years old console still care about to play some old games? Is it because it doesn't have enough new exclusive?

Because a lot of them got rid of their 360s and old games are fun to revisit. I replayed Bioshock not too long ago. Not like I don't have plenty of other games to play.

most likely response to ps4 bring ps2 games back
well, new way to milk consumer by bringing up old games

How is adding backwards compatibility for FREE milking consumers? If your game is compatible you put the disc in and download the modified version and boom it plays, for free. It's a freebie, and a nice one at that. If my 360 dies I'll be able to play a lot of good titles on an XB1.

As others have said there are numerous cases where that simply is NOT true. Heck the only way I can easily get Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 running properly on a modern system is to run the recently-released Remastered editions that are designed with modern OS in mind. I got mine on sale on Steam but you can probably get them at GOG or similar.

Still, that's NOT the same as saying they're backwards compatible. My original Baldur's Gate I paid for years ago does not run.
