thanks for letting us know JM they have released a new version of smart glass for xbox one, and by the sounds you cannot turn it on just yet, but it looks like they will be adding it in future for you
danwat1234 You just need to update if you want to connect to Xbox Live. Would make no sense to allow you to connect without updating as some new features could need the latest firmware.
Ahhh, so you can't shut off updates like in Windows, and of course updates come in on patch Tuesday like Windows.
So? Gone are the days of the cartridge with Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis.
High-powered PCs have updates (each piece of hardware practically has its own updates). My Sony TV has updates. My Android phone has updates. My last Blu-ray player had updates. Bluetooth system updates are pushed out to my car. Our iPads, iPhones and iPods constantly have updates through iTunes. iTunes constantly requires updates. Most of these devices won't work properly if the updates aren't performed by a certain date or I'm not given a choice at all to install them. My choice is to use them or not.
What world do you live in where electronic devices don't have updates?
@Dancovich, it's software not firmware I agree software related to their online services may need to be updated, similar to online games needing to update to be compatible with the servers and stuff. But you can't choose other updates like what OS updates for the Xbox installs, etc. But maybe you can, I don't own a console. But doubt it.
