I just recently bought a Mini Display Port to DVI connector (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A5JACX0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00) but every time I try to use it my computer does not recognize it.

System: Asus Q550l Laptop w/ Windows 10

Already Tried:
* DVI Cable - The cable works on another system
* Adapter - Tried the adapter with the DVI cable using a Surface Pro 2 Windows 8.1 and it worked like a charm.
* New adapter - Even while using a new adapter my computer did not recognize any change
* I have also unplugged/restarted many times

I believe the problem lies in Windows 10 but I can not find a fix. I have searched for drivers, for both my Intel integrated video card and my Nvidia 745m dedicated card, but nothing seems to work. I also don't know where to find the Mini Display Port I/O driver in device manager. Does any one have any suggestions on how to fix this?

First and foremost are you sure your BIOS and chipset drivers are up to date? Here's the latest drivers for your mobile Nvidia chip though I assumed you're running with more than 4GB+ of ram thus the 64bit executable suggestion.

I apologize but I can't seem to find any mention of your adapter being an active adapter. It may be worth asking what sort of a new adapter you've purchased after the initial purchase wasn't working? If the converter doesn't work on your system but with either of the outputs on it then the device isn't found on your laptop though I must also ask, what sort of a secondary system did you run the converter off of as you've stated this:
* DVI Cable - The cable works on another system
? When speaking of active adapters, try and look for something like this.

It may also be worth noting that if the device isn't found in Device Manger then the device hasn't been detected nor installed with the appropriate generic drivers by OS.
