Question Minimum ammount added to steam is not 5 dollars in my currency

I had this great idea to add 320 rupees(Minimum amount) to steam thinking that its equal to 5 dollars. It wasn't so i couldn't buy cheap skins(Sad face) So i have this great idea to buy a five dollar game by using that money in my steam wallet and Pay tm wallet(Pay pal) and then refunding the game to my steam wallet instead of adding another 320 rupees.Will this work or did steam screw me up for good?

You can't add custom amounts under 5 dollars, can you?

I don't know have never tried.

Any case if you refund the game the funds will return to your steam wallet and be stuck there until it's used unless you can refund it back to your bank account? Im not sure.

You may be able to use steam wallet and pay the difference with paypal. Nintendo does that from experience but not sure about steam.

Searched about using multiple payment methods and it is possible. Select wallet first and Steam should ask for a second method of payment to complete transaction.

Skins aren't restricted to steam wallet spending only right?

The community market is restricted until you have spent at least 5 dollars

So make the difference with paypal? From what i understand anything you sell gets funded to your wallet. Doesn't restrict you buying skins with wallet + paypal.

Sorry think i understand now. If skins is restricted until youve spent 5 bucks then I don't know what you'd do. Would refunding a 5$ game return the restriction? Not sure.

You don't have to spend those 5$ to lift the restriction.
Plus, when you create a new Steam account you can't use the Community Market for a month iirc, so either way you'll have to wait.
