Question MINIMUM GPU for 5120x1440?

I purchased a Dell workstation to replace my old PC. In the process, I tried both the Samsung CRG9 and Oddysey G9 monitors. The CRG9 just didn't have enough curvature for me, so I kept the G9, and now the CRG9 is "extra".

I want to use the CRG9 on my OLD PC, which I'm repurposing for my wife to use. It's a Dell XPS 8700 (i7-4770). ALL she uses it for is productivity -- zero gaming. E-mail, word processing, browsing, and a little photo editing -- nothing fancy.

If we can run it at 60 Hz, that will be great.

What's the MINIMUM GPU that will drive this monitor at 5120 x 1440 / 60 Hz? I'm repurposing a 9-year-old PC; I don't want to spend $500 on a GPU!

The monitor has both HDMI and DP. I'd prefer to stay away from a GPU with a mini-DP connector.

I've read that it's all about bandwidth and pixels, and that any GPU than can drive 4K video (3840 x 2160 = 7.9 MP) can also handle 5120 x 1440 (7.3 MP) at the same refresh rate. Is that true?

The only other requirement is that it have SOME second port -- we also will use this PC to drive a home theater projector, but it's only 1024 x 768 VGA, so I can adapt most anything to run THAT, as long as the GPU has SOME second output.
