I have a HP Pavilion p6-2120 that I want to upgrade a little bit. To keep things simple for now I wont be replacing my MOBO, so what is the best option for CPU and RAM for me and maybe a new power supply.
Also if i replace my 2gb RAM card for another 4gb to keep costs down what are my option?
I use this for gaming mainly.

Specs here: https://www.cnet.com/products/hp-pavilion-p6/specs/

It's always difficult to predict what can be upgraded in those brand name ready made computers. Best to look what is available in same series. For instance: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c03513392 has list of available compatible processors up to A10 5800K which may or may not work on yours too.
For yours here are specs: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c03353608 and it shows as A8 3xxx as highest APU possible.
On your link it shows 4GB of memory not 2.

Ok so I'm thinking I'll go with AMD A8-3870K Unlocked Llano Quad-Core 3.0 GHz Socket FM1 100W for CPU.

My RAM issue is I have a 2gb in slot one and a 4gb in slot two for a total of 6g, I'd like to replace the 2gb with another 4gb but I'm told they need to be exact but how exact?

Also would I need to get a higher wattage power supply for the extra wattage from the CPU, Mines currently 300W.
