Busted a pin on AMD A6-3600 2.1 CPU. Computer turns on, everything works fine, that I can tell. What should I expect or can I tell what might happen if I know which pin is missing?
Power/ground pins account for more than half the total pin count on some chips so the likelihood that a random damaged pin would turn out to be one of them is around 50%. Losing one of ~200 Vcc-core or ~300 GND pins should have little to no effect.
Non-power pins are far less forgiving and would most likely yield a dead chip.
