My brother mistakenly put the multiple 6 pin pcie of the same wire on the gpu due to lacks of wires. Power it up about 1-5 mins the turned off. Getting a 6 pin pcie connector later. When booting using the pcie as the main vga it said

Please power down and connect the pcie power cables

So is the gpu broken or because it do need more power? Help pleases I don't know myself

yes. I know it wasnt suppose to power up. But will it break the gpu? My bro did it, kinda dont want it to be broken. Eventhough covered by warranty

No, it shouldn't have harmed the GPU. 😀

GPU: Gainward GTX 970 reference
PSU: Silverstone SFX Series 450w 80+ gold

so is the gpu fried? Kinda sad if it happened

I doubt it's fried , step up to a high quality 550w PSU.

How are you sure? I'm glad if it's true. Basically the reason it ask for cable(s) is due to the another unconnected 6 pins (I've removed the other one from the daisy chain ofc) not enough power. Man thanks

I think your fine that shouldn't have hurt anything.

I will go for the SFX 600 later. Kinda tight on budget :)

Sounds good , take care and thanks for posting on the forum.
😀

thanks, 😀
