Nay-saying is a culture here at Tom's comments, isn't it?
I hope Tom's don't fall for that. Many might hate Windows but benchmarking on Windows is a must. Similar thing with dismissing WoW-MoP. There are indeed many cute critters in the room. Each deserves attention. But there is but one elephant.

[citation][nom]bender3000[/nom]10 million subscribers? I wonder how many people are "double-boxing"[/citation]

There was an alliance hunter on my server 5 boxing... 😵

[citation][nom]afrospinach[/nom]People on trials have never been included in the subs for wow unless you actually buy game time.[/citation]

Yeah, I know. This is not a "free trial account" I'm talking about, but a full paid account with a free time gift from Blizzard to try out the game.

I like Pandas, don't know why so much hate about them... Besides, WoW already looks cartoonish, wouldn't be surprised at all if Bugs Bunny was a playable char or something, haha.

Cheers!

EDIT: Spelling

[citation][nom]billgatez[/nom]So they went from 30 mill to 9 mill back to 10 million. So they are back to where they were when TBC came out.[/citation]
they only had 12 mill at most, and i think it was during CATA and who cares if its double boxing or triple or even more, they still pay there subscription fees and they all shelled out 49eu's on the game or how ever much it was this time, but i say this again, most people won't stay for more then 1 or 2 months and as soon as they get tru the raid content that its ingame now they will stop, some will come back with the next major content patch.

can everyone remember this please

everquest 1, i remember when they use to bost that they had 300k people subscribeing, or whs that playing at once... i believe total subs.

i dont know how much money running the servers costs, but i look at everquest, it manages to pull expantions off almost if not every year, at one point twice a year, and untill it went f2p, it was still a profitable game even at sub 100k players.

alas, wow hit it in the park again... what a disappointment. now were i to have the expansion i must wait for the patch then wait for the bug fixes... wow is always tried and true regarding the laughably pathetic code source but with all of the lost market share of the past year one was found hoping that after two years in dev they would have gotten their collective act together.

such is not the case. content is lacking as are the more popular professions like firstaid fishing and skinning. if you want these as a pandaran dont anticipate starting them until after level 10. additionally, pandaria is not accessable from other islands except by upper level quest and they are somewhat dodgy and again, underwhelming. all in all? i will continue my routine of new email, new play to level 20 account, two weeks of last resort boredom avoidance gaming... and spend my money on a movie with friends.

Cataclysm sucks and Mists of Pandaria is terrible, is so juvenile, I cancelled my two subscriptions after continuous five years.
Game over.
