I am currently trying to upgrade form a gtx 950 to a 1060, the only problem i am facing is the power supply. I have used multiple calculators like cooler master and new egg. the new egg calculator is telling me to get a 650w psu, where the cooler master is saying to get a 450 w psu. I have tried to manually calculate the wattage necessary, but have come up emmpty handed, I would like to know which one to listen to, or if i should get the 650 w psu just to be safe.

these are my specs
cpu- AMD fx8 vishera AMD 3+ sockets
2x8gb ddr4 ram
current GTX 950, I need the GTX 1060
750 gb of hdd
250 gb of ssd
one optical drive
the psu i currently have is 350 w

I am leaning to the new egg recommendation, just to be safe. I have double checked each calculator multiple times, and it was all correct

any help is appreciated

P.S. manually calculating is what I was thinking of doing, but couldn't find some of the information I needed

If you run fine off 350W and are adding a card that has a TDP of 30 more watts than what you are currently using, then you can be assured that 450W will be fine with the new card. Just make sure you get a good quality PSU and not a cheap one.
