I have a computer I built in 2012 that uses DDR3. Currently the computer has 2x4GB sticks of Ripjaws F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM that run at 1600MHZ and a timing of 8-8-8-24.
I want to add another 8GB to the computer, but I can't find any RAM anywhere with 8-8-8-24 timing that still is available for sale new.
Does anyone know of any RAM that is still available at this timing?
Will it matter if I add an 8GB stick to the mix that runs at a different timing than 8-8-8-24?
What are the risks of mixing them?
