[SOLVED] mixing ram

Hi guys, i have just upgraded my ram to 16gb, i now have 2 spare 4gb sticks, i am just wondering if i put that into another pc with 2 4gb already in there (both ddr3 and 1600MHz) but different brands, there are 2 more empty slots on the other pc so then it can be 16gb also, could this potentially break the pc or is it at least worth a shot?

It's worth a shot to try. At worst, your system will not boot, but it won't damage anything (assuming it's compatible with the motherboard).
