MM2 and Firewire, disable casset check

Hello.

I'm using my Canon MV6i MC camera to convert analog signals from my old Hi8
camera to capture it as DV in MM2. While I'm trying to do so MM2 tells me
that my camera is without a cassette or if it is there it start playing the
cassette and I loose my Hi8 signal in MM2 and the computer. Everything is
fine untill I start capturing in MM2. MM2 has my Hi8 signal in the capture
window until I start capturing.

How can I disable cassette check or start playing the cassette in my Canon
camera when I'm using the Firewire connection?

What you are trying to do is a pass-thru which Moviemaker doesn't really
like try using WinDV for capture:
