<A HREF="http://www.tomshardware.com/technews/index.html#003952" target="_new">AMD has announced their sponsorship of the MillionManLan 2 that will be held at Kentucky State Fairgrounds on June 26th to June 29th.
"Gaming continues to be one of the most performance-demanding categories in desktop PCs," said Tim Wright, director, Desktop Business Segment, AMD. "Games and game developers have had a strong influence on many of the performance innovations we have brought to our high-performance processors. AMD will continue this tradition by delivering the upcoming AMD64 technology in desktop PCs, which will allow gamers to push the limits of gaming software even farther. Providing powerful AMD Athlon XP and MP processors for the MillionManLan convention enables AMD to stay connected with our gaming fans and we look forward to a spirited event."
Oh yes, and Philip Stein and David "AMDGuy" Makin will be in attendance at MML2 to answer all of your AMD related questions!
MillionManLan 2 is one of the largest multiplayer computer gaming conventions in North America. MML2 will last 4 days with 78 consecutive hours with over 1000+ gamers in action. Run by the same team that runs the Lanwar events that we have covered in the past, MML2 is shaping up to be one of the premier LAN gaming events to be held this year. As of this news posting over 730+ gamers are already registered for MML2!
Seats are still available (but starting to go fast!) for MML2 and THG plans to be there covering all of the action! - Look for several special announcements regarding MML2 soon!
