Im looking for a mainboard, for a P4, that is stable and reliable and has the least amount of problems with various componets. Im not looking for top notch speeds. I just want stability. I am not planning to overclock and so on. Any one have some recomendations? I know of all of the brands, but im not sure witch way I should go. Asus? Gigabye? Abit?... I am planning to put a 9600xt (or higher), a 2.8 Ghz 800fpsb Northwood (2.8 is more than enough and anything above is to expencive) on the mobo, and ill choose my ram later on.

Any personal experence will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

For P4 users I nearly always suggest the Abit IS7, for several reasons:
1.) It has more features than the Asus P4P800, which is the other favored board around here.
2.) It's inexpensive, around $90
3.) Abit is a reliable company with a good RMA policy.
4.) It's a top performer according to Anandtech's 26-board comparison.
5.) If you ever do decide to overclock, the board is generally good for stability up to 250MHz...some are better. That's 1000FSB using Intel's QDR bus.

Thanks Crash. Sounds good.

It doesnt say it on their site, but does it support dual channel?
