I recently built a PC for my friend with an i5 9600k and an Asus ROG Strix H370-F Gaming motherboard (without knowing that i would need to update my bios for it to suit a 9th gen cpu). I then bought a Gigabyte GA-Z270MX-Gaming 5 motherboard with an i5 7400, so i could use the 7400 to get into the h370-f's bios and update it for it to suit my 9th gen cpu. The 7400 inside the h370, shuts it down immediately after turning it on; can't even boot. I assumed the cpu was faulty so tested it in the motherboard that i bought with the cpu and it worked just fine.
Should I just send the H370-F back because it is still under warranty or is there something else that I can do?
