I have just upgraded from ME to XP Home addition, my
internal modem used to work via COM 3 but this option is
not offered on the Wizard. Any ideas ?

Windows does not recognize the modem? Or does it show the modem, but
installed on the wrong COM port? Go into Device Manager and remove the
modem. When you reboot, Windows will find the modem and start the
installation process. You may need your driver CD for the modem.
