modems?

talking in terms of DSL....do they make a difference? A lot of companys make high speed modems for cable and dsl, but I do not know one person who uses one other than the one they get from their provider.....

has anyone bothered to compare?

They're all the same.. get a docsis V2 though.. that's the new standard..
Other than that, they're all the same.. they do the same thing.. nothing special with any of them.

You can buy verses leasing from cable company, and save on your monthly bill. Will pay for itself in less than a year.
