just need to know what is a bios driver

It is not a driver it is a Bios Flash or re-programming of your BIOS, beware not to download the wrong one for your Motherboard. It is recommended to upgrade however, I would only do it unless they fixed something that was really wrong, bothering me or preventing me from upgrading Hardware on PC.
