Hello,

I am receiving all my parts bought from this build : https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/LJvrRJ

Except the monitor, i finally choosed to buy this one ; https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/Hh648d/msi-optix-g24c-240-1920x1080-144hz-monitor-optix-g24c

My question is, does my system will be able to support the 144hz ?
I read a little bit saying it can overheat or just burn my graphic card because its not strong enough..

Just a quick oppinion because I still can cancel that bought!

Thank you,

Solution
You might not get the full benefit of that monitor as your card won't be able to push 144 fps in every game, but there is no risk of any actual damage to your computer or monitor. It'll be fine.

Enjoy the new PC!

That made me chuckle a bit.Certain games will run at 144hz depending on the game and the settings. Intensive games that are more bound to the GPU will not run t 144hz but other will run like a dream. Unless your GPU is running in an oven it will not "burn". It can overheat but thats very unlikely and it will throttle should it ever get to be hot enough.

No need to worry on that front.

What games are you planning on running at 144hz?

Thank you for your feedbacks,

I am planning on playing only BF1/Crossfire (shooter) maybe cod bo3/4, league & WoW

Alright so worst case, I can't use the full 144hz, but it wont burn or crash my computer ?

Thanks again everybody

You can hit 144hz easy on BO3, BO4 we will have to wait and see. BF1 you may have to turn a couple settings down a little bit but otherwise enjoy your buttery smooth gameplay :)

No burning GPU for you.

Alright, thank you very much!

Do you think I did a bad choice with amd ?
I could had i5-8600 but idk looks like intel is more $$ for the other compatible parts

BTW last question sorry, on PC part list, they say this : The CRYORIG - H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler may require a separately available mounting adapter to fit the Asus - PRIME B450-PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard.

Where do I guet anyway a Mounting adapter ? I looked into but I never found nothing looking like a mounting adapter...
