Okay so im planning a build with a r5 1600 and an rx580 8gb. Which of these 2 monitors would be better ? (both same price, and both have freesync)

1080p 144hz and the safe option

ultrawide 1080p 75hz and ips

I dont care about 100+ fps and i only care about beautiful visuals since i play story oriented games. But i want the rx580 to be able to maintain 60fps on the resolution i pick on high-ultra for 2 years.

Well, that is true, again just throwing my two cents there. It's all about space, and what you think. If they natively support it, then go for the ultrawide as you get that extra space (enemies to the left and right). And if 144hz is not important to you, then do it. I got mine for $275, and again she loves it, but I prefer my triple-monitor setup for the same price over that.
I would go with the AOC monitor. It has FreeSync, 144mhz, and 1ms response time. I mean, it's really no contest. Unless you want extra real estate, the AOC is the best choice here. I got my wife the LG, and she loves it, just not sure if it is best used for gaming.

well as i said i wont benefit from the 144hz, and 1-5ms would look the same to me

all i care about is visuals, and the lg has an ips panel, freesync and 75hz (which is the most i will use, if i have more that that i always raise the graphics)

both are gaming monitors but i dont know if the rx580 has enough juice for around 60fps 2560×1080 high-ultra for 2 years

I thin kthe 580 should be able to handle that resolution. It's still 1080p..to an extent. You might enjoy the special real esate in some games. But you have to realize that most games are built with the standard resolution in mind. For example, I have 3 monitors, and the only game that really supports that is Watch Dogs 2 (at least what I played). All other games are at 1920x1080p.

You mention beauty. If a game that not NATIVELY support 2560x1080, it may look stretched. Just my two cents.

Well witcher 3, bf1, gta v, tomb raider and doom have the 21:9 1080p resolution. And im sure that more and more games will support it since its a fairly new aspect ratio for gaming.
