i wanted to know about dell S2240L 21.5" ips monitor ..i have no knowledge about monitor ...

Is this monitor good for gaming or will i get a better 1 at this price range ?
i m open to any suggestion.

The dell S2240L is a IPS slow response time monitor. It'll look good but won't be very good for fps gaming. How much is your budget? What country? What is the intended usage: gaming, editing, all around, movies....

i play mainly witcher 3 and bf4 ..

my current rig-:

i5 4690k , r9 280x , 2x 4gb veng 1866mhz , seasonic s12 620w , intel 530 240gb ssd and 1tb hdd .....need to buy a new mobo deciding on msi gaming 3 or 5 ..

it would be nice to know if u could help me out in choosing .... i m siding towards gaming 5 because getting info about the mobo will be easy about ocing ... if i buy gaming 3 my budget for monitor will increase to 12500rs ...

You need a faster monitor for BF4. If you play with that monitor you'll think it is good, but once you get a TN panel monitor with 2ms response time you'll know why you need a TN panel monitor. I suggest looking for this criteria in a monitor: 2ms and TN panel. It makes a huge difference for BF4, which is the game I play the most.

so ips panel suckz ? i was using acer S200HL monitor 20 inch ... but it doesnt have hdmi output wanted a little better monitor 22 inch and with hdmi output ... does the image clarity differs when u use hdmi and with dvi... hdmi gives better image ? or are they practically same

I'd get the BenQ instead. The Acer is a IPS and I'm guessing it is slow. Often monitor makers lie about response time to make them look better than they are. I'd suggest sticking to TN for BF4.

MSI 3 is enough. 5 is better but I don't think its necessary, and you should put money elsewhere.

i will do some overclocking with i5 4690k .. so i guess i will go with gaming 5 which is in tier 2: class A high end z97 mobo . and also since i got a cheaper monitor thanks to u ,..
