Monitor Identity Issue

I have recently setup my new computer: Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit | Intel Core i7 6700K @ 4.00GHz | 16.0GB 8x2 G.SKILL 3200MHz | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO | MSI GTX 980Ti GAMING 6G | 500GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO | 256GB M.2 NVMe Samsung 950 PRO. With this setup I have an ASUS MX279H and an ACER S243HL for my dual monitors. For some reason my computer won't detect the ASUS as monitor 1. Even if it's plugged in first and says 1, when I plug in the ACER, the value changes to 2 and the ACER becomes #1. Now, I know I can change which is the main monitor and how they are positioned in relation to each other through display settings. But that doesn't quit fix my issue. On just about every level it is fine, except for when I boot. Also it's annoying seeing 2 before 1 on my display settings. Any thoughts or comments are welcome. Please remember though, that it's not just about functionality, but more about perfection at this point.

That is why. I have no idea why it does that but it must be a Windows thing as my old R9 280 did that as well. You either have to switch the connection type (reverse the connection, dvi to asus, hdmi to acer) or use the same type of output to both.
