Hi there, I messed up!

I was trying to solve a motherboard/video card/display issue which led me to do one crazy stupid thing: When my monitor could get a signal from the VGA port, I went into my monitor settings and toggled the input type from Auto to DVI. I have no DVI display output because my motherboard is not recognizing my video card and now I can't get a signal from the VGA out either because the monitor input type is set on DVI instead of Auto.

Other than connecting the monitor onto another PC to reset the menu, is there anything I can do to reset the monitor?

If you disconnect the monitor signal cable and power the screen down, it should auto select VGA next time you power it up. In my experience flatscreens default to VGA to the extent that you can't persuade them to accept a DVI cable instead once they've been powered up with a VGA cable.

You should also be able to access the monitor setup OSD, even with no connection to the computer.
