my monitor looses power while watching streaming video. it does not loose power watching youtube. i have changed the power cord. the sound never turns off. i can see the power light on the monitor turn off then back on. can anyone advise?
If it's still playing the audio, then it shouldn't be the power cord rather your hdmi/dp cable. Maybe you want to try a new one. First try other ports to exclude having a failing signal port
Most monitors will power off when there is no signal detected. It's strange though that it happens only in certain occasions but you should try changing cables and/or ports as an easy troubleshooting step
