hi all, first of all sorry for my bad english, the problem i have is that when i try to power on my pc with both rams plugged [my motherboard only has 2 dimm slots (asus prime a320m-k)] my monitor doesnt give me signal, i tried both ram sticks on the slot nº1, and it works fine, but when i try to put both rams it doesnt give me signal, so i guess the issue is the dimm slot nº2, the problem is that i put the RAM backwards, using force, and when I realized i quickly changed it to the correct position, what could i do to try to fix it? i have already cleaned it with alcohol

Solution
but if one of my two dimm slots works fine, thats the motherboard problem not the cpu, right?
Could be either or both.

If you're getting a new board, then choose one with 4 memory slots instead.
This way - even if cpu is damaged, you still should be able to use 2 ram modules with it (in single channel mode).
Your English is fine.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Motherboard:

Is the link the correct User Manual for your motherboard?

What RAMS did you try to install: make, model, specs?

This:

"the problem is that i put the RAM backwards, using force"

Use a bright flashlight and a magnifying glass to carefully examine the rams and ram slots for damage.

Be sure to power down and unplug the pc before doing so.

Check the surrounding motherboard RAM area for cracks, bent/crushed components. etc..

Also check other cards, connectors, and jumpers.

Hopefully you may have just bumped something else loose - maybe the GPU or the applicable video cable serving the monitor.

i have 2 sticks of this model: https://www.pccomponentes.com/memor...d-single-rank-ddr4-2666mhz-pc4-21300-8gb-cl16

always worked fine until i was clearing the pc (cleaning cpu thermal paste etc) and when i plugged back the rams, i plugged one of them backwards, and this is the slot that doesnt work. I checked the dimm slot and all the pins seems fine, my gpu is working fine also when i just connect 1 ram on the working slot

and yes, thats the model of my motherboard
