Monitor not connecting to pc

I recently built a pc but it doesn't seem to connect to my monitor. Im starting to think that something is wrong with the pc that I just built. Can someone please help me fix this problem!!!!!!!!!

first thing is first check all cables (Power/motherboard/gpu/monitor) make sure everything is plugged in where it should be if that doesnt work try a different monitor or plug on your monitor and can u hear a beep from your motherboard or does it perhaps have any leds on it this will help us to see that it is powering on and everything is working
