Hello! Sorry for my English

I bought a new asus pg329q monitor. It is impossible to play games with fps below the monitor's hertz even at 90 fps (video attached), not to mention 60 fps

The picture blurs when the camera is rotated. The effect is similar to Motion Blur

Only playable starting at 120+ fps

YouTube videos are blurry too

- windows 10 pro

- monitor asus pg329q (165Hz)

- connected via displayport

- percent 8700k

- card 2070

- mother ROG STRIX Z370-F GAMING

- 32 oz

- tried different options vert. sync via control panel. nvidia (disabled, vsync, gsync)

- changed Override options on the monitor

- reinstalled windows

- changed the DP cable

- reinstalled with DDU video card driver

Those in Asus support say it's not the monitor, they're probably right

Please tell me how to fix the problem

Thanks

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

reinstalled windows
+
windows 10 pro

Where did you source the installer for your OS?

As for your GPU, did you install said GPU driver in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator? BIOS version for your motherboard at the time of writing? You forgot to mention the make and model of your PSU in your build(and it's age).

Thanks for the reply.
  • I reinstalled Windows. I downloaded the installer from the official site
  • Installed the graphics card driver as an administrator
  • Bios 3004
  • Power Supply - be quiet! Straight Power 11 850W (1 year)

Hmmm, maybe monitor Task Manager and see if there are any app's that are hogging resources when you notice the stutters. Latest installer for your GPU sourced from Nvidia, correct? Just to rule out a corrupt installer, did you recreate your bootable USB installer using Windows Media Creation Tools?

  • no applications running inadequately in the task manager
  • Drivers from Nvidia from official site
  • Windows is installed with Windows Media Creation Tools(
Thanks
