Monitor recognition

New install of windows XP, does not recognize monitor,
sees only generic monitor @640X480, screen view is blown
way out of proportion after XP screen stops..
Is there such a thing as Monitor driver, I though XP had
all that inside ??

Visit the video card manufacturers web site, download and install the
correct driver for the video card. After that you may need an .inf file
for the monitor. If so, visit web site for moniter manufacturer.

Did you reinstall Video card?
