Hi there

I have a Dell U2913WM, its a ultra wide screen monitor, its proper resolution is x2560 x1080
accept every time i boot it up the monitor starts on 1920x1080. Really annoying changing the resolution every morning. I do have up to date graphics driver for my nvidia 980. my second monitor always starts in correct resolution.

Any ideas?

Thankyou

You need to first see if you have any BIOS updates pending for your motherboard. If you have a number of them to update to get to the latest, update your BIOS gradually till you're on the latest version. Then look at the version for your OS(if you're on Windows 10). We're currently on 1909.

Then as you've stated see if your GPU drivers are the latest though it'd be a good idea to use DDU to remove your current GPU drivers and reinstall with the latest found off of Nvidia's support site.

Install your drivers in an elevated command, i.e, right click installer>Run as Administrator.
