I have a monitor which is 1280 x 1024 and was wondering how can i connect it to my PS3? My parents can't be bothered buying a new tv, so i have to deal with it. It only has a male vga port. What can i use? Will this work http://tinyurl.com/kvcqh88
That picture is not useful. That many connectors will only ruin the video signal and quality. And honestly you are quite out of luck since PS3 isn't meant to be played with VGA, only HDMI. It is HDMI because of both video and audio output and playing games at VGA means you will have issues trying to display HD content when the games lowest res is 720p which is considered to be HD. Also you will need the traditional PS2 video/audio adapter (red, yellow, white) connectors , otherwise you have no sound. If you have no money, then your only choice is to get one of these http://tinyurl.com/lmksjtf.
But as an optimal solution, VGA is not recommended.
