Monitor won't turn on when I wake up my computer.

Sometimes,not overtime.When I wake up my computer,everything will come on but the monitor stays asleep.I have seen another thread with problems like mine.But I won't to know a simple fix.

I don't want to take my computer apart.

It may be the monitor itself. You'd need to try it on a different computer, or try a different monitor with the same computer.

Other:
If you turn the monitor OFF and ON again after the computer has started does it work then or are you forced to reboot the computer?

I try turning the monitor on and off,if that doesn't work,I have to turn off the computer and sometimes unplug the PSU. I did build this computer myself,so maybe that's the problem.....

I agree with photonboy. If your monitor doesn't work on another computer in sleep, or another monitor on your computer does, you should suspect your monitor. My monitor had similar issues and turned out to be monitor power supply. Replaced blown caps and all was good.
