So i just bought a monitor thats 144hz and my other one is 60hz. I got a r9 270x gpu, both monitors are 1080p. I want to game on the 144hz and have the 60hz on the side for extra stuff. When i first set it up everything was laggy and choppy moving from one screen to the other one. Fixed that by enabling gpu up scaling on the 60hz monitor.

However, I do have a 6850 card laying around and was thinking about putting that in and have the 1080p 60hz monitor run off that card while my main monitor the144hz one runs off the r9 270.
I think that would make stuff alot better what do you guys think? Obviously the cards would be running separately.

The problem is my webcam flickers now it has horizontal lines running down, and i never had that issue i think it might be caused by the monitors having different refresh rates. Also when i started up skype the monitors acted stupid the 60hz one artifacted and had horizontal lines running then i disabled that monitor and the main one did the same.. weird. It works fine now but idk why that happend anyway i figured if i have 2 separate cards running each monitor I shouldnt have any problems.

what do you guys think?

The webcam flickering issue at 144 Hz, which was resolved by lowering to 120 Hz has been described before. Still not sure why this occurs though.
